Throne Room Casual: A Board Game Playthrough Show.

During the COVID lockdowns, I discovered the wonderful world of modern board gaming. However, I was living by myself in a studio apartment at the time, and it was unfortunately quite difficult to find anyone to play with seeing as how there was a pandemic raging outside.

While researching what games to try or buy, it was also a little awkward trying to choose since I had no idea what anything was at the time. Everything seemed so intimidating.

It was then that I discovered the show Tabletop by Wil Wheaton. Wow, I got to see so many new and cool board games out in action and it was fun to sit through. Being totally isolated at the time, it was also nice to feel like there were people in my house hanging out and playing something as simple as a board game together.

From there, I moved onto other board game playthrough shows that I could find: Game night from Boardgamegeek, Dice Tower playthroughs, Game the Game, etc... It was just good cozy entertainment and it was easy low pressure stuff, too.

The pandemic also brought about my decision to start a production company, and it was initially a goal to do a board game playthrough show to contribute back to the community since I had enjoyed them so much.
